FOOT Steps helps transition patients from traditional opiates to a safer medication with the help of a physician and has helped many patients rebuild function and regain control of their bodies and lives.

For many patients, attempts to reduce or stop these highly addictive medications alone, and without help, result in failure.

What is FOOT Steps? (Focus On Opiate Transition)

FOOT Steps is a one-day per week program lasting up to 10 weeks by an interdisciplinary team that include a physician, doctor of psychology and other wellness professionals.

Each treatment session brings with it something different and is individually tailored to allow for the most supportive and safe medication transition for each patient.

Finding success in transitioning from opiates.

Success is defined by one of the following ways of achieving 100% classic opiate cessation:

Weaning off all opiates • Transitioning to buprenorphine • Weaning down to at least 50% from buprenorphine dose.
