Diokson Rena, MD

Dr. Diokson Rena has been a practicing physiatrist for 20 years, the last 12 years has been with the group. Dr. Rena is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation with subspecialties in pain medicine and sports medicine. He studied physical therapy prior to medical school. He completed the residency in PM&R and fellowship in spine, sports and pain. He also trained in pathology.   Dr. Rena specializes in nonsurgical musculoskeletal care with special interest in interventional spine care. He is also adept in the California workers compensation system. When not working, Dr. Rena likes spending time with family and friends, traveling and simply enjoying what San Francisco has to offer.


 

Natalia Balytsky, MD

Natalia Balytsky is an Anesthesiologist and pain management specialist with over 15 years experience. Studying medicine in Ukraine, Natalia transitioned to the Unites States to the University of Pittsburg and University of California San Francisco where she was a clinical fellow. Prior to joining the Sfmmg team, Natalia worked at Bay Area Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine as a pain management specialist. Natalia brings valuable knowledge and experience to join our team of specialists and surgeons.


 

William R. Campbell, DO

Dr. Campbell is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon treating Worker’s Compensation and Private Health Insurance patients in the Bay Area since 2007.  Treatment offices include, San Francisco, Oakland, and Sacramento. With thousands of cases worth of experience, Dr. Campbell brings a well-honed skill set to those patients in need of surgical treatment for their shoulder, knee and general Orthopedic injuries.  However, every patient is different, and many times good results can be obtained without heavy medication, aggressive treatment or surgery. Dr. Campbell derives a great deal of satisfaction working with his patients as they choose from the various treatment options that best match their goal. Dr. Campbell is almost universally accepted in all the various MPN’s (including the recently updated SCIF/Harbor Health Systems) as well as Private Health Insurance carriers (including Brown & Toland). Dr. Campbell is also an Orthopedic Q.M.E. and has been recognized as AME on multiple occasions by firms such as Ratto, Hanna Brophy, Boxer & Gerson, Laughlin Falbo and others.  Practicing within the worker’s compensation arena for almost a decade has produced a keen understanding of the various issues surrounding AOE/COE, TTD, disability rating, apportionment, future medical care and the various other complexities of the med-legal evaluation process. Dr. Campbell maintains several Med-Legal Offices (see below) and appointments currently book out one to two months. Dr. Campbell attended medical school at the Chicago College of Osteopathic medicine. Later, he completed his orthopedic surgical residency in the Michigan State University system, and fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Barry Meskin, DPM

Dr. Barry Meskin has a well-established reputation as an excellent and responsible clinician, with a very strong commitment to rendering care in a pragmatic, efficient and cost-effective manner.  His 20 years of experience in trauma, sports injuries, medicine and industrial work injuries has earned him the respect of both colleagues and patients. Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Dr. Meskin immigrated to the United States at the age of 25. In 1992 he completed his medical and surgical training in San Francisco where he became a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM). Dr. Meskin’s internship and residency training was completed at the city and county Hospitals of San Francisco General and Oakland Highland Hospital. His inspiration and interest in working with injured individuals comes from both his father, Denis Meskin, MD,  and in serving as an Orthopedic Trauma Corpsman at the largest South African Military Hospital during the South African Border Wars. Dr. Meskin is a credentialed provider in excellent standing with most Medical Provider Networks. In addition, he has been selected as a Preferred Panel Provider with many employers and carriers.  In addition to his medical practice, his experience as a Qualified Medical Examiner (QME) enables him to evaluate disability and write medical-legal reports based on objective evidence and places scientific methods relative to causation.


 

Eric Beane, PA

Eric Beane is a California licensed Physician Assistant (PA) at the Brentwood, Walnut Creek and Oakland locations. He graduated from Samuel Merritt University with his Master of Physician Assistant and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of PAs. Eric has also completed extensive graduate work in Kinesiology with an emphasis in rehabilitation at California State University, East Bay while concurrently working as a Physical Therapist Aide. Previously, he conducted various philanthropic and volunteer work, including traveling to Ecuador, to provide compassionate care to the underserved population. Eric was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and currently lives in the East Bay. 

In his free time, Eric is pursuing his private pilot’s license, is an avid free diver and swimmer, including participating in annual swims from Alcatraz Island to the San Francisco Marina District’s Aquatic Park. 


 

Julie Ginsburg, L.Ac

Julie Ginsburg is a California Licensed Acupuncturist specializing in pain management and wellness. She graduated from San Francisco State University receiving her Bachelors of Science in Biology Concentration in Microbiology, Minor in Chemistry, graduating with honors having completed the pre-Health Professional curriculum.  While at SFSU, Julie conducted independent research in molecular biology and was awarded a National Science Foundation Grant. Julie’s interest in health led her to work in both Pharmaceutical Research and Development and in Clinical Research coordinating trials for Parkinson disease, stroke/CVA, Alzheimer disease, multiple sclerosis and migraine headache therapeutics. Taking a break to raise her own children, Julie re-connected with her love of science and passion for promoting wellness by studying Eastern Medicine and Qigong.  She earned her Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2014. Julie also teaches Qigong exercises having completed ACTCM’s Qigong Teacher Training Program in San Francisco with the late Dr. Suzanne Friedman.  One of Julie’s strengths as an Acupuncturist is being able to bring her strong foundation in science to inform her ability as an integrative holistic healer. She is particularly interested in supporting her patients’ wellness and promotes balance in addressing pain, trauma, stress, headaches, insomnia, hormonal imbalances, PMS, fatigue, depression, and anxiety. Julie brings a very compassionate presence to her treatments and strives for a painless approach in practicing acupuncture.
