‘Journey Through Pain’ is a collection of artwork created by artists with chronic pain. Participants of this exhibit were introduced to art therapy in an interdisciplinary program that focuses on improving physiological and emotional health to better manage pain. After graduating, participants are invited to make art in an open studio. This is a safe, non-judgmental space provided to foster creativity as an expression and distraction from pain.
This exhibit provides a platform for artists to share their artwork with friends, family and other viewers interested in understanding how art can be used as a therapeutic outlet for pain.
The show will be up all of August at the Twin Pines Art Center Manor House at 10 Twin Pines Lane, Belmont, CA.
